Madeleine Korbel Albright, a former US diplomat born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, May 15, 1937, is the 64th Secretary of State of the United States.
Crowned as the first US Secretary of State and woman of the highest rank in the history of the US government.
Albright has also been sharply criticized for his strong support for the sanctions regime against Iraq.
He started on January 23, 1997.
As Foreign Minister, Albright has sparked the anger of many Serbs in Yugoslavia because of their role in the Kosovo War and the Bosnian War and US policy in the Balkan region as a whole.
